The Possible Dream
A divine editorial from ELLE U.S 2003 - featuring Adriana Lima & Mareva Georges in a Tahitian setting - pure summer inspiration.

Zooey
Last night we went to the movies to see Yes Man. I must admit I wasn't that keen on going to see this film but went along anyway, and was happily surprised when this young lady popped on screen. She was hilarious - her quirkiness had me laughing for the rest of the film. Her style and humour is effortless and refreshing, and it's easy to see why she's become a style icon.

Vintage Surf
I love vintage surf pics, postcards and images - they provide so much inspiration. Today's post is the cover of a book that is full of images just like these. Called "SURFING Vintage Surf Graphics" by Jim Heimann, this little book is a pocketful of 50's and 60's retro surf graphics, perfect for surf art stimulation......

LIGHTBOX Yardage
Hi all! I've added a new yardage artwork to my online store - the "Lightbox" Yardage. You can find it here. With lots of colour and play on light, it's what I call future-surf.

Donavon
While on holidays a couple of weeks ago, we drove down the coast to enjoy an afternoon of Lawn Bowls at the Lennox Head bowlo, and then into Byron to catch Donavon Frankenreiter at the Beach Hotel. It was the perfect afternoon. DF had the crowd dancing to his laid-back surfer-muso tunes and it was refreshing to see such a venue hold just enough, but not too many, people so everyone got a look, heard the music and had a good time.

Paper Art

Featured today is beautiful paper art by graphic artist Yulia Brodskaya. Her colourful swirling scrolls remind me of waves rolling into shore....

Beautiful Burleigh
Here is my first lot of snapshots of Burleigh Heads, QLD. I've included the best shops on the main street, James Street, along with the fantastic Sean Scott photography shop in the Old Burleigh mall. Enjoy.....

My favourite Burleigh store, Bikini & Book - with a collection of all the top Aussie swim labels - Tigerlily, Jets, Azzolini, Anna & Boy and Hotel Bondi. Along with a selection of high-fashion jeans, coffee table books, candles and accessories, this chic store is a must-look-in for all surf luxe fashionista's.

Right next door to Bikini & Book, is Inverse - an art & photography, come vintage fashion store with lots to look at and browse through.

On the opposite side of James Street is Lush Living - with beautiful accessories, clothing and caftans this store carries a great selection of beachside fashion. They also have stores in Currumbin and Kirra.

The old Burleigh Mall is the home of the Sean Scott photography store. With it's awesome range of photo canvas' and surf-inspired artworks, this store also houses surf knick-knacks, books, and videos.
More from around the Gold Coast is on it's way :)
